Pop Up Display Stands in Dubai
A pop up display stand is a folding aluminium frame that opens into a full branded wall in minutes, then packs back into a single wheeled case. Marhaba Advertising supplies curved and straight pop-up display stands in Dubai with magnetic PVC panels or one-piece fabric graphics, printed and assembled at our Al Quoz Industrial Area 4 workshop. Every stand can be sized to your booth, finished with LED spotlights, and paired with a transport case that converts into a branded counter.
This page sits under our full display stand Dubai range. If you only need a single freestanding panel beside your booth, our roll-up banner printing in Dubai page covers that format. As a signage company in Dubai, we handle the artwork check, graphic printing, frame preparation, and delivery in-house, so the colour on panel one matches panel five.

The Basics
What Is a Pop-Up Display Stand?
A pop-up display stand is a portable exhibition backdrop made of a collapsible aluminium scissor frame and printed graphics that attach to the front. The frame expands and locks without tools, the graphics fix on by magnetic strips or Velcro, and the whole system packs into one case. Exhibitors use pop-up stands because they turn an empty booth wall into a branded backdrop in minutes and travel to the next event without a stand builder.
You will also see them called popup stands, pop-up exhibition stands, pop-up backdrops, and media walls. Some suppliers in Dubai use "pop-up banner" for a roll-up banner, which is a different, much smaller product, so it is worth checking which one a quote actually covers.
Types
Types of Pop-Up Display Stands We Supply
Every pop-up stand below can be ordered as a complete kit. The right choice depends on your booth layout, how often the stand travels, and whether it will be photographed.
| Type | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Curved magnetic pop-up | Aluminium frame with a gentle arc, fitted with printed PVC panels held on magnetic bars | Exhibition booths and corner stands where you want depth and a more enclosed feel |
| Straight magnetic pop-up | Flat frame with the same magnetic PVC panels | Media walls, press backdrops, and step-and-repeat logo walls where the camera needs a flat surface |
| Fabric pop-up (hop-up) | One-piece printed fabric graphic that stays attached to the frame with Velcro | Teams that set up often and want the fastest assembly with no panel joins |
| Case-to-counter kit | Wheeled hard case wrapped in a printed graphic with a fitted top | Booths that need a welcome desk for brochures and visitor conversations |
| LED spotlights | Arm-mounted lights that clip onto the top of the frame | Halls with dim lighting and backdrops that will be filmed or photographed |
Curved or Straight Frame?
A curved frame bends slightly toward the visitor, which adds stability and makes a booth feel more enclosed. It works well as the back wall of a shell scheme stand. A straight frame keeps every logo and line of text perfectly flat, so it photographs without distortion. For a media wall where guests pose for photos, we almost always recommend straight.
Materials
Magnetic PVC Panels vs Fabric Pop-Up Graphics
This is the choice that affects your stand the most, because it decides how the graphic looks, how fast it goes up, and how it survives travel.
| Magnetic PVC panels | Fabric (hop-up) | |
|---|---|---|
| Finish | Rich colour, fully opaque, matte laminated | Soft matte finish with no glare under hall lighting |
| Setup | Frame first, then each panel hangs on the magnetic bars | Graphic stays on the frame, so it opens in one movement |
| Joins | Visible vertical joins between panels | One seamless surface |
| Weight and transport | Heavier, travels in a hard case | Lighter, easier to carry between venues |
| Updating the design | Replace a single panel if one section changes | Replace the whole fabric graphic |
| Best for | Premium booths and stands that stay in one place for a while | Roadshows and teams attending many events |
Sizes
Pop-Up Stand Sizes and How the Grid Works
Pop-up stand sizes such as 3x3 or 4x3 count the squares in the frame grid, not metres. A 3x3 frame is three squares wide and three squares high, which works out at roughly 2.2 metres wide and 2.2 metres high. That is why a 3x3 pop-up is the usual fit for a standard 3x3 metre shell scheme booth, with space left for a counter in front.
We do not push you into a fixed catalogue size. Tell us your booth dimensions, whether the stand sits against a back wall or in the open, and how many people need to stand in front of it for photos, and we will size the frame to match. Larger and custom media walls are available for bigger stands, launch events, and stage backdrops.

Kit Options
Case-to-Counter Kits and LED Spotlights
The wheeled hard case that carries your pop-up does not have to sit hidden behind the booth. Wrapped in a printed graphic and topped with a fitted counter top, it becomes a branded welcome desk for brochures, sign-up forms, and visitor conversations. You arrive with one case and leave with a full booth: backdrop, counter, and lighting.
LED spotlights clip onto the top of the frame and throw light down across the graphic. Many hotel ballrooms and exhibition halls are darker at booth level than people expect, and lighting makes the difference between a backdrop that looks printed and one that looks finished, especially on camera.
Design Tip
Where Pop-Up Artwork Usually Goes Wrong
On a magnetic pop-up, the graphic is split into vertical panels. A logo, a face, or a line of text that runs straight across a join can end up slightly misaligned or cut by the seam, and it is the first thing visitors notice. The two end panels also wrap around the sides of a curved frame, so anything placed at the far edges is only visible from an angle. The bottom section is often hidden by a counter or a table standing in front.
The fix is simple: keep your main logo and headline in the upper middle of the wall, clear of the panel joins, and treat the ends and the bottom as background space. We check every proof for these three points before anything goes to print, not after a client sees the finished wall at the venue.
Artwork
Artwork Requirements for Pop-Up Graphics
PDF, AI, or EPS are best. High-quality JPG works for photo-led designs.
Design at full size or at an exact 1:10 scale. Ask us for the panel layout before you start, so you can see where the joins fall.
150 dpi at full size is ideal, and 100 dpi is the minimum. Images saved from websites usually print blurred at this scale.
CMYK colour mode. Share your brand Pantone codes if logo colours need an exact match.
Convert text to outlines, or send the font files with the design.
No design file yet? Send your logo, text, and a few photos on WhatsApp and our team will lay out the backdrop for you.
Venue Rules
Fire-Retardant Materials for Dubai Exhibition Venues
Exhibition venues in Dubai, including Dubai World Trade Centre and Expo City Dubai, apply Dubai Civil Defence fire-safety rules to the materials used on stands. Organisers commonly ask exhibitors for a flame-retardant certificate for fabrics and printed graphics, and the requirement is set out in each event's exhibitor manual.
Send us the exhibitor manual or the organiser's material rules when you order. We confirm a suitable graphic material before printing, so your stand is not held up at inspection during build-up. The final decision on acceptance always rests with the venue and the organiser.
Comparison
Pop-Up Stand vs Roll-Up Banner
| Pop-up display stand | Roll-up banner | |
|---|---|---|
| Width | Usually around 2 to 3 metres, larger on request | Usually 85cm to 120cm, up to 300cm for giant formats |
| Role on the booth | Fills the whole back wall | Adds a single message beside the booth or entrance |
| Setup | Around 10 to 15 minutes for one person | Under a minute |
| Transport | One wheeled case, which can double as a counter | Shoulder carry bag |
| Best for | Exhibitions, media walls, and launch backdrops | Entrances, lobbies, and smaller events |
Many of our clients use both: a pop-up as the booth wall and two roll-up banners at the front edge to catch people walking the aisle.
When a pop-up stand is not the right choice
- Outdoor use. The frame and large graphic surface catch wind, and months of direct Dubai sun fade the print. Outdoors, hoarding graphics or outdoor signage hold up far better.
- A permanent wall. If the backdrop will stay in one office or showroom for a year or more, indoor signage or large format printing applied to the wall looks more finished and costs less over time.
- A single small message. For one offer beside a counter, a roll-up banner does the job at a fraction of the size and price.

- Open the frame on a flat floor and make sure every joint clicks into place before adding graphics.
- Hang magnetic panels from the centre outward, so the joins line up across the wall.
- Roll PVC panels graphic-side out when packing, and never fold them.
- Keep the case out of parked cars. Dubai summer heat can warp PVC panels.
- Wipe graphics with a soft, dry cloth only.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Pop Up Display Stands in Dubai
We quote every pop-up stand individually, because the price depends on the frame shape and size, magnetic PVC panels or a fabric graphic, the case-to-counter kit, LED spotlights, design work, and delivery or on-site setup. Send your booth size, event date, and artwork on WhatsApp and we come back with a fixed quote. For several stands, ask for one combined quote.
A pop-up stand fills the whole back wall of a booth, usually around 2 to 3 metres wide, and packs into one wheeled case. A roll-up banner is a single panel, usually 85cm to 120cm wide, that adds one message beside a booth or entrance. Many clients use both: a pop-up as the booth wall and two roll-ups at the front edge.
A 3x3 frame, which means three grid squares wide and three high, works out at roughly 2.2 metres by 2.2 metres. That is the usual fit for a standard 3x3 metre shell scheme booth, with space left for a counter in front. Send us your booth dimensions and we size the frame to match.
Magnetic PVC panels give rich, fully opaque colour and let you replace a single panel if one section changes, but they are heavier and show vertical joins. A fabric pop-up gives one seamless matte surface, stays on the frame so it opens in one movement, and is lighter to carry. Choose PVC for premium booths that stay in one place, and fabric for roadshows and teams attending many events.
Yes, with the right graphic material. Send us the exhibitor manual when you order and we confirm a suitable material before printing. Final acceptance always rests with the venue and the organiser.

Around 10 to 15 minutes for one person. The frame opens and locks without tools, then the graphics fix on by magnetic bars or Velcro. A fabric pop-up is the quickest, because the graphic stays attached to the frame.
