Truck Wrap Dubai: Commercial Truck Branding, Vinyl Wraps and Fleet Liveries

A Toyota Hilux or Ford Ranger moving through Dubai traffic presents roughly 12 square metres of visible panel surface on its sides and rear. A medium box truck doubles that. A full lorry with a curtain-sided trailer can present over 80 square metres of moving display surface to every vehicle it passes on the E611 or Sheikh Zayed Road. No other format in Dubai outdoor advertising matches that scale of impression at the cost-per-view that a professionally branded truck produces over its operating life.

Truck wrapping in Dubai covers every category of commercial truck, from double-cab pickups used by construction and maintenance companies to refrigerated distribution trucks, box trucks, tankers, and articulated lorries operating across Dubai's freight and logistics network. Truck branding costs in Dubai range from AED 5,000 for a full pickup wrap to AED 25,000 and above for a full livery on a large lorry or curtain-sided trailer, depending on surface area, vinyl coverage, and design complexity (Marhaba Advertising project data 2026, Printajo 2026). The RTA Advertisement Permit for heavy vehicles costs AED 1,500 per year (Printajo 2026, Printzone Dubai 2026). Marhaba Advertising produces truck wraps, pickup branding, box truck liveries, and heavy vehicle graphics from our Al Quoz Industrial Area 4 workshop, handling artwork, cast vinyl production, surface preparation, and RTA permit coordination across single-vehicle and fleet projects in Dubai.

Why Truck Branding Works

Truck Wrap Dubai: Why Trucks Deliver the Highest Road Visibility of Any Branded Vehicle

Scale is the defining factor. A branded pickup truck is visible from further away and for longer than any car or van in the same traffic. A box truck presents a continuous surface that holds detailed graphics at the size needed to be read from a distance on a multi-lane highway. A full lorry with a branded trailer becomes a moving billboard that Dubai's road network carries to every destination on its route, including industrial zones, construction sites, retail distribution centres, and residential communities, without any media placement cost per impression.

A single wrapped truck on a daily route through Dubai generates 30,000 to 70,000 visual impressions per day in urban areas, rising on highway routes where overtaking vehicles see the full side panel at speed (Bayan Branding 2026, SignArt Graphix 2025). Over a three to five-year wrap lifespan, that accumulates to tens of millions of brand impressions from a one-time production cost. For businesses whose trucks are already on the road every day as an operational requirement, the branding converts an unavoidable operating cost into a productive marketing asset.

For businesses that operate mixed fleets of trucks alongside cars and vans, our vehicle branding service covers coordination across all vehicle types. For dedicated van fleets, see our van branding Dubai service. For full multi-vehicle fleet programmes, our fleet branding service covers scale pricing and coordinated rollout.

Vehicle Types

Truck Types We Wrap in Dubai: Pickups, Box Trucks, Refrigerated Vehicles and Lorries

Pickup Truck Branding Dubai: Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Double-Cab 4x4

The pickup truck is the most widely used commercial vehicle in the UAE construction, maintenance, and facilities management sectors. Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200, and Isuzu D-Max variants are the dominant models in Dubai commercial fleets, with the Land Cruiser 79 Series used in heavier site operations. A full pickup wrap covers both sides, the rear panel, the bonnet, and the cab roof, totalling approximately 18 to 28 square metres of cast vinyl depending on the model and whether the load bed sides are included (Marhaba Advertising project data 2026).

Pickup branding for construction companies, plumbing and electrical contractors, and facilities management firms follows a consistent pattern: company name, trade licence activity, phone number, and logo in Arabic and English, with work type and safety credentials on the rear panel. The RTA requires all commercial pickup branding to carry a valid Advertisement Permit before the vehicle operates on a public road.

Box Truck and Refrigerated Vehicle Wrap Dubai

Box trucks and refrigerated distribution vehicles used by food and beverage distributors, supermarket chains, cold chain logistics operators, and pharmaceutical companies represent the highest-impact single-vehicle branding opportunity in the light commercial truck category. The flat side panels of a standard box truck offer uninterrupted print surface that carries detailed brand graphics, product imagery (illustrated rather than photographic to comply with RTA content rules), and contact information at a size legible from 30 to 50 metres.

Refrigerated trucks carry a specific material consideration. The aluminium panel surfaces used on most refrigerated bodies respond differently to vinyl adhesion than painted steel or fibreglass. Surface degreasing, rust treatment, and isopropyl wipe-down are all required before any cast vinyl is applied to aluminium body panels to ensure the adhesive bonds correctly and does not lift at edges when the truck moves between cold store environments and Dubai's outdoor temperatures (Bayan Branding 2026).

Heavy Lorry and Trailer Branding Dubai

Full lorries, curtain-sided trailers, flatbed trucks, and tanker vehicles represent the largest scale of truck branding in Dubai. The curtain side panels on a standard articulated trailer can exceed 40 square metres per side, giving a single vehicle a combined visible surface area that no static outdoor billboard in a standard roadside format matches for cost-per-impression over the permit year.

Operators running branded trailers on the Abu Dhabi to Dubai freight corridor and Dubai to Sharjah industrial routes achieve multiple-emirate visibility from a single vehicle and a single RTA permit, which covers the branded truck across all seven UAE emirates for its normal commercial routes (Printajo 2026). Branding on trailers above 2.2 metres in height must comply with the RTA height restriction and is assessed at design review stage.

Construction Truck and Site Vehicle Branding Dubai

For flatbed trucks, tipper trucks, and heavy site vehicles where the body cannot carry a continuous wrap because of the vehicle's function, cab and bonnet branding provides visible identification for the vehicle even when the load area is empty or obscured by the carried material. Cab branding covers the door panels, cab sides, and bonnet in a coordinated graphic that displays the company name and contact details on every vehicle in motion.

Cab wraps are a common option for construction companies in Dubai where tipper trucks, concrete mixers, and crane carriers operate on and off Dubai Municipality construction sites. The cab is the portion of the vehicle consistently in the same configuration regardless of loading state, making it the most reliable branding surface on heavy construction equipment.

Coverage Options

Truck Wrap Types Dubai: Full Livery, Side Panel Branding and Cab Graphics

Maximum Impact

Full Truck Livery Dubai

A full truck livery wraps every accessible exterior surface: both sides, the rear panel or rear doors, the cab sides and bonnet, and the bumper where accessible. On a box truck or refrigerated vehicle, full livery coverage creates a continuous brand surface with no visible factory paint break. This is the standard for fleets where brand consistency across multiple vehicles is a client requirement, and for businesses where the truck operates as the primary brand-visible asset in their market.

Full liveries on trucks require more production time per vehicle than any equivalent van job because the panel area is greater, the surfaces are more varied in material and geometry, and the installation sequence must account for panel joins, rivets on aluminium bodies, roller shutter door tracks, and ventilation access points that interrupt the graphic surface (Wrap Masters UAE 2026).

Focused Coverage

Side Panel and Rear Door Truck Graphics Dubai

Side-panel-only branding covers both sides of the truck or trailer body without extending to the cab or bonnet. This is the most practical format for articulated lorries where the cab and trailer are separate units from different company registrations, requiring only the trailer surfaces to carry the branding permit. Rear door graphics focus the branding on the rear panel, which is the most visible surface to following traffic at junctions and on motorway exits.

Businesses comparing partial versus full coverage should factor in that the cab and bonnet contribute proportionally less surface area than the trailer body on articulated trucks, making full trailer coverage the better value decision when the trailer is the commercially registered branding surface.

Site Vehicles

Cab and Bonnet Wrap Dubai

For tipper trucks, concrete mixers, and heavy plant vehicles where the load area cannot be wrapped, cab and bonnet branding provides consistent identification. The cab is the only part of the vehicle that maintains the same configuration regardless of loading state, making it the most reliable branding surface on heavy construction equipment. Cab wraps for construction fleets in Dubai typically include the company name, trade activity, and contact number in Arabic and English, sized to be legible from the distance at which site managers and inspection teams identify approaching vehicles.

Materials and Installation

Truck Wrap Vinyl Dubai: Cast Film, UV Laminate and Lower Panel Protection for UAE Roads

Cast Vinyl for Truck Wrap Dubai: Performance at Highway Speed and UAE Heat

Trucks on Dubai's road network operate at higher sustained speeds than urban delivery vans and are exposed to road conditions that test vinyl adhesion differently. On the E611 Emirates Road and the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, branded trucks cruise at 100 to 120 km/h. At that speed, wind pressure on panel edges is significantly higher than on vehicles operating in stop-start urban routes. A vinyl edge that would hold adequately on a van in city traffic can begin to lift on a truck travelling highway distances every day if the installation has not used proper edge sealing technique (Wrap Masters UAE 2026).

Cast vinyl from 3M (Series 1080) and Avery Dennison (SW900 Supreme Wrapping Film) is the required material for all commercial truck wraps at our workshop. These films have no memory force, conform to compound curves and panel joins without internal stress, and maintain adhesion under Dubai's heat cycling between outdoor temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius and the cooler environments inside warehouses and loading docks. UV overlaminate is applied over all printed surfaces as standard (Pitstop Arabia 2026, Bayan Branding 2026).

Lower Panel Protection for Dubai Truck Wraps: Stone Chips, Sand and Road Debris

The lower panels of any commercial truck operating on Dubai's road network face conditions that upper panels do not. The first 30 to 40 centimetres above the wheel arch line on a moving truck collects stone chips thrown from the road surface, sand blast from desert-adjacent routes, and tar and oil spray from construction zone roads in areas such as Al Quoz, Dubai Industrial City, and Jebel Ali.

For trucks operating primarily in industrial and construction areas, a secondary protective laminate or a stoneguard film layer on the lower panel zone extends the life of the vinyl graphic in the area most exposed to abrasion. We assess the truck's primary operating routes and surface exposure at the briefing stage and recommend the appropriate lower panel protection level before the production artwork is finalised.

Riveted Panel Truck Wrap Dubai: Application Technique for Aluminium Trucks

Aluminium-bodied box trucks, refrigerated vehicles, and curtain-sider trailers present a specific installation challenge. The aluminium panels on these vehicles are joined by visible rivets that interrupt the graphic surface at regular intervals. Vinyl applied over rivets using standard flat panel technique results in air pockets and stress points around each rivet head that lift within weeks under thermal expansion.

The correct technique uses a heat gun and squeegee to work the vinyl into the rivet profile at each fastener point during application, with a secondary post-heat pass to ensure full adhesive contact around the rivet dome. Each rivet is treated individually. This adds significant installation time on large trailer surfaces with hundreds of rivets but is what separates a truck wrap that lasts three to five years from one that begins failing at the panel joins within the first Dubai summer (Bayan Branding 2026, Marhaba Advertising project data 2026).

All truck wrap installations take place inside our covered Al Quoz workshop. Cherry picker and scaffold access is available for large vehicle upper panel zones. Calendered vinyl is not used on any truck project at our workshop.

Pricing Guide 2026

Truck Wrap Cost Dubai 2026: Prices by Vehicle Type and Coverage

Truck wrap costs scale primarily with surface area. A pickup truck and an articulated lorry both use the same cast vinyl at the same per-square-metre rate, but the lorry requires five to ten times the material quantity and proportionally more installation time.

RTA permit fees are government charges billed separately. Refrigerated truck pricing is higher than equivalent painted steel box trucks due to additional preparation time for aluminium panel surfaces and rivet treatment. Fleet orders of three or more trucks are scheduled in batches to minimise downtime.

How We Work

Truck Wrap Process Dubai: From Design Brief to Highway-Ready Branded Truck

Every truck wrap project at our Al Quoz workshop follows the same five steps, from initial vehicle assessment through to permit certificate in the vehicle documentation wallet.

1

Truck Assessment and Surface Survey

Every truck wrap project starts with a physical assessment of the vehicle. We photograph all panels, check the paint and surface condition, identify any rust treatment or aluminium degreasing needed before vinyl application, and note all rivets, panel joins, roller shutter tracks, ventilation grilles, and other features that affect the design template and application sequence. Trucks with damaged panel surfaces are advised on the preparation work required before a wrap can be applied. Vinyl applied over failing paint or corroded aluminium does not hold, and we raise this at the start rather than after production.

2

Vehicle-Specific Design Template and Artwork

The branding artwork is produced on a scaled template built from the specific truck model's panel measurements. For standard commercial models including the Hilux, Ranger, and common box truck configurations, we hold existing templates. For less common models or custom-bodied trucks, we produce the template from the survey measurements and photographs taken at assessment. Arabic content is produced to the 50% visual parity standard required for RTA approval. The design accounts for rivet positions, panel joins, and mandatory reflective strips from the first draft.

3

RTA Permit Application

With artwork approved by the client, we submit the RTA Advertisement Permit application for the vehicle, including the design artwork, trade licence, and Mulkiya. Heavy vehicle permits are processed under the AED 1,500 annual fee category. We track the application and communicate any amendment requests with the specific change required. No vinyl is produced or cut until the permit is confirmed. For a complete guide to the permit process, see our RTA vehicle branding approval guide.

4

Surface Preparation and Vinyl Application

The truck goes through the preparation sequence appropriate to its surface type. Painted steel panels: decontamination wash, clay bar treatment, isopropyl alcohol wipe-down. Aluminium refrigerated body panels: degreasing wash, rust spot treatment where needed, isopropyl wipe-down. All installations take place inside our covered Al Quoz workshop. Vinyl is applied panel by panel, with each rivet on aluminium surfaces treated individually using the heat gun and squeegee profile technique. Edge sealing compound is applied to all panel perimeter edges to provide an additional barrier against the wind-pressure edge lifting that high-speed highway use produces.

5

Quality Inspection and Handover

The wrapped truck is inspected panel by panel under workshop lighting before handover. Upper zones are checked from elevated access to confirm edge adhesion across the full panel height. You receive the completed vehicle, the RTA Advertisement Permit certificate for the vehicle documentation wallet, and a care guide specific to the vinyl type applied. For fleet jobs, vehicles are returned in the agreed sequence to keep the fleet operational during the branding programme.

Common Questions

Truck Wrap Dubai: Common Questions Answered

A full wrap on a standard pickup truck such as a Toyota Hilux costs AED 5,000 to AED 9,000. A medium box truck full livery runs AED 8,000 to AED 15,000. Refrigerated truck wraps with aluminium body preparation cost AED 10,000 to AED 18,000. Full curtain-sider trailer branding on both sides and the rear costs AED 15,000 to AED 28,000. These figures cover cast vinyl production, surface preparation, and installation (Marhaba Advertising project data 2026, Printajo 2026). The RTA Advertisement Permit for heavy vehicles is AED 1,500 per year, billed as a separate government charge.

Heavy vehicles including commercial trucks, cooler trucks, and heavy pickups require an RTA Advertisement Permit at AED 1,500 per year. Heavy buses and heavy mechanical equipment are AED 2,500 per year. Every application carries a standard Knowledge Fee of AED 20 and Innovation Fee of AED 20. A design amendment permit costs AED 100 if the branding design changes after the original permit is issued (Printajo 2026, Printzone Dubai 2026).

Yes. Refrigerated trucks and aluminium-bodied box trucks require a different preparation approach to painted steel trucks. Aluminium panels require degreasing and any surface rust or oxidation treatment before cast vinyl is applied. Riveted aluminium panels require rivet-profiling technique at each fastener point during installation. We assess the surface condition and body type at the survey stage and price the job based on the preparation work needed (Marhaba Advertising project data 2026, Bayan Branding 2026).

A pickup truck takes two to three working days from surface preparation through to handover. A medium box truck takes three to five days. A refrigerated truck with aluminium body preparation takes four to six days. A full curtain-sider trailer with two side panels and the rear takes five to eight days. This timeline covers production and installation after the RTA permit is confirmed. The permit application itself takes three to ten business days (Marhaba Advertising project data 2026).

A professionally installed wrap using 3M or Avery Dennison cast vinyl with UV overlaminate lasts three to five years on a commercial truck in normal Dubai operating conditions (Pitstop Arabia 2026, Bayan Branding 2026). Trucks operating primarily on industrial routes in Al Quoz, Jebel Ali, and Dubai Industrial City, where stone chip and sand abrasion on lower panels is higher, may see lower panel degradation earlier than upper panels. Lower panel protection laminate extends the working life of the graphic in high-abrasion zones.

Yes. For articulated lorries where the cab and trailer have separate registrations, we produce cab branding and trailer branding as two independent projects, each with their own RTA permit application tied to the respective registered vehicle. The design can be coordinated to read as a continuous brand identity when the cab and trailer are coupled, while remaining compliant and independently permitted as separate vehicles.

We use cast vinyl from 3M (Series 1080) and Avery Dennison (SW900 Supreme Wrapping Film) for all commercial truck wraps. Calendered vinyl is not used on any truck project at our Al Quoz workshop. UV overlaminate is applied over all printed surfaces as standard. For high-abrasion lower panels on trucks operating in industrial environments, additional protective laminate is applied on a project-by-project basis depending on the assessed route conditions (Bayan Branding 2026, Marhaba Advertising project data 2026).

Yes. A valid Dubai RTA Advertisement Permit covers the branded truck across all seven UAE emirates for its normal commercial operations. A truck that makes deliveries in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman does not require separate permits from those emirate authorities as long as the vehicle is moving as part of its commercial route (Printajo 2026, Printzone Dubai 2026).

Truck branding in Dubai is most active in construction, logistics and freight, facilities management, food and beverage distribution, retail supply chain, cold chain distribution, oil and gas support, and events and exhibition transport. Construction companies brand double-cab pickups and tipper trucks for site identification. Logistics operators brand box trucks and trailers for route visibility. F&B distributors brand refrigerated vehicles for product promotion alongside their delivery function.

Our production facility is at Warehouse 1, Al Quoz Industrial Area 4, Al Quoz, Dubai. All truck wrap installations are carried out indoors at this facility, including work on pickup trucks, box trucks, and refrigerated bodies. Cherry picker and scaffold access is available for large vehicle upper panel installation. We serve clients from across Dubai, Deira, Sharjah, and the wider UAE. For company cars, see car wrap Dubai.
